Thorold, named “Canada’s Canal City” is home to 18,000 residents and is located in between St. Catharines and Niagara Falls. Thorold consists of agricultural, commercial, industrial and residential land. Thorold also has access to the Atlantic Ocean and the Great Lakes from the St. Lawrence Seaway – Welland Canal. There are four locks of the Welland Canal located in the City of Thorold.
